At Friendly Street Church, We have had an exciting Summer!
We handed out around 275 Root Beer Floats at the FAN Summer Celebration and Mural Dedication. We helped 372 families prepare for the school year at our location for Project Hope-- and 61 students got hair cuts this year!
We had our parking lot resealed and restriped on August 13th and 14th. This will not only benefit members of our church, but also the various group that use our facilities during the week-- Including Little Hoots Day Care, Tool Box Project and other groups. This is a priority for safety reasons. We have received grant funds to cover a portion of the cost, but we will need to raise fund to cover the remaining amount-- roughly $3,500.00.
We will be holding a car wash this Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm, to help raise funds for the parking lot. So if you like washing cars, or your car needs to be washed, please stop by. This will be by donation, and if you don't have cash, you can pay online, too! It should be a fun time, and a good way to cool off if the weather is hot.

Preacher Swap Sundays
The Second Annual Preacher Swap Sundays event was amazing! We enjoyed learning about different aspects of prayer, from the Pastors of Friendly Street Church, Springfield Church of God, and Riverside Church in Cottage Grove.
